YMCA Outdoor Education creates meaningful group experiences fostering personal growth, skill development and teamwork. We welcome elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, retreats and other community and youth organizations.
YMCA Cedar Glen is just 45 minutes from downtown Toronto and welcomes groups for a variety of programs.
The perfect place for children, youth and adults to grow in confidence and learn new skills. Cedar Glen welcomes outdoor education, retreat and conference groups, offering meals served in our dining hall, overnight accommodations, meeting facilities and a variety of outdoor experiential education programs.
Our certification workshops are tailored towards the SHSM sector that your students are completing. Each workshop includes indoor and outdoor interactive experiential learning components such as team building initiatives, challenges, puzzles and team maze which keeps students active and engaged!
Participants hike to a campsite, sleep in tents and explore natural areas around YMCA Cedar Glen while learning how to set up tents, build fires and cook their own meals following the principles of Leave No Trace camping. Throughout the visit, participants will be guided by our experienced staff and will have a chance to try fun and challenging activities like high ropes, low ropes, archery, and much more!
Nestled on the shores of beautiful Clear Lake, YMCA Camp Pine Crest is situated on 650 acres in Muskoka, Ontario.
Location
YMCA Camp Pine Crest is rooted in the heart of Muskoka and surrounded by picturesque waterfront scenery. Pine Crest specializes in personal and group development through outdoor pursuit and is pleased to offer programming to schools, sports teams, businesses and specialty interest groups. Our site is equipped with comfortable year-round accommodation, full-service dining, and indoor/outdoor program and meeting spaces.
Participants paddle or hike to a campsite, sleep in tents and explore natural areas around YMCA Camp Pine Crest while learning how to set up tents, build fires and cook their own meals following the principles of Leave No Trace camping. Arrangements can also be made for off-site trips to areas such as Algonquin, Georgian Bay, or a customized location.

A short ferry ride from downtown Toronto, our parkland site offers a variety of land and water activities. Outdoor Education programs are offered during June and September for school and youth groups of all ages.
